Michael Stewart, Ph.D. has owned and operated Better Hearing since 1987. Dr. Stewart has over 25 years of experience providing audiological and hearing aid services to both children and adults. Dr. Stewart teaches hearing aid courses at Central Michigan University-the largest Doctor of Audiology program in America-which keeps him current on clinical fitting problems and hearing aid technology.
Carrie Mills has been part of the staff at Better Hearing for over a year now as our Office Manager. She loves working with people, especially the elderly population. Carrie is continually gaining knowledge about insurance companies and is skilled in retrieving benefits for each patient. She also works closely with patients to ensure quality care through scheduling appointments and assisting with hearing aids. She works with physicians and others in the medical community to facilitate patient care through referrals and scheduling follow-up appointments, if needed.
Jackie Rowlett recently joined the Better Hearing staff as an office assistant. She is an undergraduate student at Central Michigan University studying communication disorders and sign language. Jackie intends on becoming an audiologist herself after completion of her doctorate. She is a part of the Pre-Audiology Student Organization and American Sign Language Society at CMU. She assists in the maintenance and care of patients' hearing aids and enjoys working in an office environment.
